Following the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the UK has entered a period of national mourning.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Peter McNestry has issued the following statement:
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust I would like to express our condolences to the Royal Family at this time of national mourning.”
“We pay tribute to the long service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the good works she has done for charities in coalfield communities.”
The offices of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust will be closed on Monday 19th September and our staff will not be working on this date. Otherwise our offices and staff continue to work as normal.
Services and facilities provided by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, such as Game On sessions and individual support sessions, will also not be operating on Monday 19th September but otherwise will also continue to operate as normal.
This is in line with the decision to make Monday 19th September a Bank Holiday in England, Scotland and Wales as well as the official guidance for the period of national mourning issued by the Government.
